There’s nothing like being in Big Bend at night, especially during a full moon. Join a ranger for an easy, two-mile hike through the beautiful rock formations of Grapevine Hills to learn about the moon and nocturnal life, and to experience what it’s like to be in an enchanting desert after dark. Call ahead or contact bigbend_centennial@nps.gov to reserve free transportation to the trailhead from nearby Panther Junction, courtesy of Big Bend Resorts and the Chisos Mountains Lodge, a Forever Resorts property. Bring walking shoes and a flashlight.
